KONE's Presence in India dates back to 1984, when it formed a joint venture called Beacon KONE with Best & Crompton Engineering Ltd., a large and diversified company based in Chennai. In 1992 KONE purchased Best & Crompton's interest in Beacon KONE, and KONE India became a 100% subsidiary of KONE Corporation. KONE India has 5000+ employees with regional offices in four major cities and 40 branches

across the country. We also cover the markets of Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Kone India consists of:

•A World class production facility in Chennai
•ITEC- Global Research & Development centre
•State of the art Exhibition centres in Chennai, Mumbai & Gurgaon
•Highly collaborative Training centres in Chennai & Gurgaon
We have obtained ISO 9001:2008 Quality certifications for its factory at Chennai and for seven major branches, ISO 14001:2004 Certifications for Environmental management and OSHAS 18001:20017 Certifications for Health & safety.

Happy birthday MonoSpace! 💙

30 years ago today, KONE's groundbreaking MonoSpace technology was made public. Thanks to the flat EcoDisc motor, it was possible to build machine-room-less elevators, which freed up space in buildings. 💡

Equally innovative was a short movie produced to introduce MonoSpace to the world.
