THE ROOF : MUD HYBRID HOME

The roof has been designed to avoid heat gain by providing rice straws on the bottom, plastic sheet for waterproofing and mud over a Mild Steel (MS) frame.

THE STRUCTURE : MUD HYBRID HOME

1 - The Column : Conventional and mud bricks fused together in a rat trap bond in order to connect existing RCC structures with the newly built mud structure.

2 - Stone windows arches/jaalis as ornamentation.

3 - Our Principal Architect Shashank Gupta (Shashank Gupta) advising the civil contractor Bittu. (Or vice versa in real)

4 - A jaali window and top wall layer in conventional bricks to support the roof.

LAYERS : MUD HYBRID HOME

Layer 1 – RCC tied to the existing structure below.

Layer 2 – Conventional bricks, tying RCC and adobe bricks.

Layer 3 – Adobe bricks.

Mortar Layers

Mortar Layer 1 – Cement + sand + water between RCC and conventional bricks.

Mortar Layer 2 – Mud + water + sand.
