If I were #19 again…. Very recently, our studio was joined by an intern who took the plunge to join our studio for a short summer internship to understand how the discipline unfolds beyond academia, looking to know what lied in the real world and what an architectural practise is all about
She brought with her more than curiosity; she brought a question we had long stopped asking ourselves. Watching someone stand at the very beginning of the architectural journey prompted us to look in the opposite direction—not towards what lies ahead, but towards what might have been.
What if now we had the power of hindsight
What if
we were 19 again
to go back and change a few hues, and look deeper and how to approach life and architecture differently?
we asked this to some of our members and this is what we learnt
never stops
Which assumptions would we challenge, which detours would we embrace, and what lessons would we seek long before experience taught them to us? In tracing the paths we have taken, we found ourselves reflecting not only on the architects we became, but on the many architects we could have been.
