The inpatient block was planned to maximize usable perimeter for the given footprint, placing every patient room along the edge, while caregiving and support functions were consolidated within a highly efficient internal core.

The result is a hospital where circulation supports care, and doesn’t compete with it.

In high-density urban environments, increased FSI and the push for accessible healthcare have shifted the real constraint in hospital planning to a less visible layer: 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲.

At 𝗥𝗮𝗷𝗶𝘃 𝗚𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗵𝗶 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗥𝗼𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗶, 𝗜𝗜𝗗𝗖 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 resolved this by integrating a multi-level car parking system for 550+ vehicles as a core planning strategy.

This intervention unlocked the site’s full clinical potential—enabling higher patient capacity, smoother ingress and egress, and more efficient ground-level utilisation.

In healthcare architecture, accessibility is not defined by proximity alone. It is also defined by how seamlessly a patient can arrive, enter, and be cared for.
