A Square Feet Rate is one of the simplest and most practical methods for estimating the cost of a construction project. It helps clients understand the approximate project cost quickly by multiplying the total built-up area by the agreed rate per square foot. This method is especially useful during the planning stage, making budgeting, loan planning, and project comparison much easier. * Curing should begin as soon as the concrete surface has hardened sufficiently to prevent damage.
* The concrete surface should be kept continuously moist during the curing period.
* The periods specified in IS 456 are minimum requirements. For improved strength and durability, longer curing (such as 14 days or even 28 days where practical) is beneficial, especially for important structural members.

For quick reference:

* ✅ PPC / PSC: 10 days
* ✅ OPC in hot & dry weather: 10 days

Rainwater Storage Tank as per Kerala Panchayat Building Rules, 2019

A rainwater storage tank is a mandatory component of the rainwater harvesting system for specified buildings under the Kerala Panchayat Building Rules, 2019. The system is intended to collect, filter, and store rainwater from rooftops, thereby reducing dependence on groundwater and promoting sustainable water conservation. The harvested water can be used for domestic non-potable purposes such as flushing, gardening, and washing, and for potable use after suitable treatment. A typical system consists of roof gutters, downpipes, a first-flush arrangement, a filter unit, a storage tank, and an overflow connection to a recharge structure. For Group A1 Residential Buildings, the Rules prescribe a minimum storage capacity of 25 litres per square metre of covered area. Proper design, construction, and regular maintenance of the system ensure efficient utilization of rainwater and contribute significantly to environmental sustainability. ゚
