Being Artsy by Ghazal Alagh

Being Artsy by Ghazal Alagh At being artsy we strongly believe that we are all born artists and just need that little push over the creative edge to realize the same which we provide.

Faculty Profile - Ghazal Alagh

I was born in 1988 and brought up in the beautiful city of Chandigarh. My proclivity towards art existed from childhood days and my school walls painted by me as a part of an environment project are testimony of the same even today. I completed my graduation from Panjab University with information technology as a major post which I took up a career in corporate trai

ning with NIIT which I pursued for a few years. In 2012 while staying in Mumbai, I rediscovered my passion for art and learnt from inspiring artists like K Prakash & CS Pant in Mumbai. Towards end 2012 I decided to focus full time on my passion for art & moved to the Global melting pot of art New York. Here I got a chance to work with the best in the field like Robert Armetta & Harold E Brooks. I followed this up with courses at the Artists League of New York. I also worked on Modernism and Abstraction under John Parks at the School of Visual Arts, New York. Some of my work from this time was also chosen & showcased at the Langdon Art Gallery New York. What makes my art unique is my love for color. My works have been exhibited Nationally and Internationally at multiple exhibitions. I have sold an entire series of works called "Sounds of Love" in early 2014. I continue to create passion with my art at my studio in Gurgaon where I am currently based out of. I share my learning with young artists through structured courses and workshops through my organization called "BEING ARTSY".

Artists week is a set of two classes where we teach kids about an artist and take them through their history and artworks. Kids see and observe the famous paintings of the artist and that inspires them to create their own version of the painting. We did a Van Gogh's week and one of our students loved the sunflowers. Here is her version of the same. (this painting is a work of a six year old)
