This project is located in Kakadhua, Barpeta district, where ACECON is involved in the design and construction supervision of a G+3 residential building with a total built-up area of approximately 9,600 sq ft.
The site presented challenging ground conditions as the building is being constructed on land that previously contained a pond and is surrounded by active water bodies. Such environments often lead to high soil moisture and groundwater interaction, which can accelerate reinforcement corrosion and affect long-term structural durability if not properly addressed.
To ensure long-term stability and durability, a pile foundation system has been adopted along with a concrete mix designed to resist water pe*******on and provide enhanced protection to the reinforcement steel.
These images capture the early stages of foundation construction, including excavation, reinforcement cage preparation, and pile foundation work — highlighting the engineering measures implemented to ensure a strong and durable structural base.
