Perspective behind selecting my field of work....Although I am always on toes, but there are some wonderful aspects of the field. I believe going slow is no harm. The motive is to find joy in what you do. Sharing few insights ..... ā¤ļø

Walking through a designed landscape that once existed only on paper.

Working on a remote site, explaining the smallest of details over calls, coordinating from miles away almost every day for two years.

And then, one day, you walk through the very spaces you had imagined, sketched, discussed, and refined countless times.

Thereā€™s something incredibly fulfilling about seeing an idea slowly turn into a living landscape.

It started with designing a garden in a densely populated urban neighborhood, right in the heart of the city.

On the very first day of our site visit, the client shared two wishes: she wanted minimal paving, and she loved the idea of growing her own food.

The result was a clean, well-composed garden that seamlessly accommodated a vegetable and fruit garden. The most enjoyable challenge was camouflaging the productive garden within the neat landscape, allowing it to blend naturally into the overall design.

A garden can be both beautiful and productive - you don't always have to choose one over the other.

Whenever I pass by a current or even an old project site, I canā€™t resist peeping in - yes, even on Sundays! šŸ˜„

Today, while passing by, I just hopped into one of our sites to see how things are progressing. The base work is now complete, and weā€™re all set to begin the planting soon!

Thereā€™s something truly exciting about watching a landscape slowly come to life, step by step.

Stay tuned for more updates from the site!

Site visits - a very crucial exercise in professional practice.

I feel at home on sites. In fact, I believe that taking ownership is one of the strongest traits of my firm and the way we practice.

For me, a site visit is much more than just checking work progress. It is about understanding how the design is translating on ground, coordinating with the ex*****on team, resolving challenges, making real-time decisions, checking details, observing materials and workmanship, and ensuring that the original design intent is not lost along the way.

Every site teaches me something new.

So, hereā€™s a little sneak peek into my site visits - and all the things I generally do, other than just checking the work progress!

An ongoing project with an interesting narrative...

We named it "Lines & Curves", as it follows a compelling story of extensions and continuity. The project is a linear development that unfolds through a series of diverse experiences. We sought to create an amalgamation of these experiences, as landscape is inherently experiential it is perceived from above, at eye level, and from the inside out.

A big thank you to MAIITRI KRITI | Interior & Architecture | Jaipur for being a constant source of thoughtful discussions and for collaboratively evolving this project. Every conversation has helped shape the journey into something more meaningful. stay tuned for more updates
