A housing project in Kasaragod, designed for professionals and families relocating to the district for work. Two blocks, three floors each, two units per floor. Two bedroom apartments, each with a living space, kitchen and a private balcony. Parking on the ground floor, a landscaped garden between the blocks for everyone else.

The project didn't move forward due to feasibility reasons, but the collaboration itself was one of the better ones we've had.

Exposed brick, curtain creepers on the balconies, and enough green between the buildings to make density feel less like a compromise.

Landscape design for a residential plot in Mookannoor, Angamaly. Currently under construction.

The brief was to make a tight suburban plot feel generous. The client wanted something that punches above its footprint. Paved arrival court, a shaded sit out at the back, planting that earns its place rather than just fills gaps. Timber, exposed concrete, tropical species that make sense in this climate.

We'll let the finished project speak to whether we got there.

The builder's layout needed reworking. Flow, privacy, storage. Custom cabinetry handles most of what the original shell got wrong. The result is a home that feels considered rather than corrected.

Contemporary interiors with enough traditional detail to feel like the people who live there.

A ski resort masterplan in Trysil, Norway. Commissioned by a developer for government approvals in 2021, this was a study in how to place a large scale hospitality complex into a steep mountain landscape without it looking like it was dropped there.

The massing works with the topography rather than against it. Rectilinear building footprints positioned to face the slopes and turn away from prevailing winds. Dark timber and quarried stone keeping the whole thing grounded in where it actually is. The architecture borrows from alpine vernacular without cosplaying it.

Designing for steep, difficult terrain is something we have done enough of to know what works. This one just happened to be in Scandinavia.

A palatial residence in Chattanchal, Kasaragod. Moorish and Spanish influences, read through the way this particular family lived and what they needed from their home. Courtyard, arched colonnades, landscape that wraps the house rather than decorates it.

The project stopped midway when the client arrived at a moment of clarity. That architecture is just lines on a screen and probably shouldn't cost anything. Years later, we completed our vision for our own satisfaction, because the work deserved it.
