Reimagining what already exists. 🌿

In the lush landscape covering around 58545sqft of land in Wayanad, this renovation project begins not with a blank canvas, but with a collection of 13 existing cottages.

Our intervention looks at the larger master plan—reworking the site, strengthening connections, improving the experience of movement and landscape, and thoughtfully increasing the number of cottages without losing the character of what was already there.

The architecture grows from the existing: less demolition, more transformation.

A sensitive exercise in making more, while building less—allowing the landscape, the cottages and the spirit of Wayanad to remain at the heart of the experience.

Not every building sits on a hill. Some become part of it.

Nestled within the forests of Yercaud, Sky Roca is less about occupying the landscape and more about belonging to it. Terraced into the contours, opening itself to the valley and the sky beyond, the project blurs the line between architecture and terrain.

Tucked beneath the sloping tiled roofs of Kerala homes lies a quiet, forgotten layer - the loft.

Not quite a room, not just storage. A breathing space that insulates the home, holds the heat at bay, and quietly gathers life spices, trunks, old books, and memories wrapped in time.

For children, it was a secret world. For adults, an archive of everything we couldn’t let go.

Simple, climate-wise, and deeply poetic these in-between spaces remind us that homes aren’t just about what we see, but also what we keep, above and beyond.

Maybe we need to bring back the loft not just as a space, but as a pause.

A kitchen that doesn’t turn inward but opens out to life.

What if ₹1500 wasn’t a limitation… but a design brief?

This capsule room reimagines travel accommodation for those who live within tight budgets. Inspired by the idea of capsule hotels compact, efficient sleeping pods that originated in Japan this design shows that comfort is not about size, but intention.

Within a minimal footprint, it creates:
• A clean and hygienic environment
• A sense of privacy and personal space
• Thoughtfully designed storage and lighting
• A dignified experience—not just a place to sleep

For travellers who often compromise on safety and sanitation due to cost, this becomes more than a room it becomes a statement of equity in design.
