IEI RTU The Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI) is the national organisation for engineers in India.

IEI has over 0.5 million members from 15 engineering disciplines in 99 centers or chapters in India and overseas; it is the largest multi-disciplinary engineering professional society in the English-speaking world.[citation needed] It is currently headquartered in Kolkata. The activities of the Students Chapter shall be pri
marily technical and
shall include:
1 Organising lectures by corporate mem

bers
and others on the
subject of engineering interest;
2 Organising paper meetings, discussions,
seminars and technical
filmshows on selected subjects;
3 Organising visits to engineering projects,
construction sites,
factories, workshops, laboratories etc;
4 Organising competitions on technical sub
jects including annual
paper writing, model building and quiz competitions
;
5 Promotion of social contacts among the s
tudents;
6 Any other activity conducive to
the technical and intellectual
advancement of the students.

The IEI FRONTAGE SESSION was organized on 29th August, 2018. This session was lead by Prof.(Mrs.) Annapurna Bhargava, Department of Electrical Engineering and Advisor, IEI Student's Chapter, RTU, Kota. The Chief Guests for this occasion were: Mr. Shyam Lal Gupta, Retd. Executive Director, Water Resources Department, Rajasthan and Executive member, IEI; Mr. Mahendra Singh Chouhan, Civil Engineer, BIPRA Civil Engineering & Consultants Pvt. Ltd. and Chairman of IEI, Kota ; Mr. K.G. Lahoti, Executive member, IEI.
It was an introductory session on IEI to help students to learn and connect with IEI. Students were guided about the advantages of being a part of IEI.
