Inside Kalluveedu

The architectural language of the Kalluveedu draws deep inspiration from the traditional houses of the context, reinterpreting their logic in a modern format. A strong central axis forms the spatial spine, flanked by functional zones on either side. On entering, one is welcomed by a Kota stone-clad sit-out with a thinnai, a nod to the region’s vernacular homes. A large teak wood door with minimal grooved detailing opens into a partially double-height living room, introducing scale, light, and drama.
