The Guest Room - Sa’ada

Good guest rooms accommodate visitors. Great ones adapt to everyday lives. The brief was to create a space that could adapt to multiple functions while remaining visually integrated with the rest of the home.

At the centre of the room is a Murphy bed, allowing the space to transition effortlessly between a guest bedroom and a functional everyday room. When closed, it reads as an architectural wall. When opened, a playful wall covering introduces colour, character and a distinct identity to the space.

A study area is positioned alongside, with wood detailing that begins at the wall and extends seamlessly into the ceiling, creating a strong architectural gesture. The wood cladding establishes a visual balance between floor and ceiling, proportioning colour and material evenly throughout the room.

Wicker wardrobe shutters introduce texture and softness, balancing the stronger architectural elements while complementing the calm wall palette.

The bathroom is conceived as a seamless extension of the room. Finished in Jaisalmer stone and black accents, it continues the material language while introducing a more grounded and tactile atmosphere. A carefully curated mirror becomes the focal element within the space.

The transition between the wooden flooring of the room and the terrazzo flooring of the bathroom is resolved with precision, ensuring both technical performance and visual continuity.

What emerges is a guest room that is flexible without compromise, where function, material and architecture work together to create a space that feels thoughtful, adaptable and complete.

The Retreat Suite - Sa’ada

Soft luxury and tactile warmth come together here.

This washroom within the retreat suite is conceived as an extension of the bedroom, where function flows seamlessly into experience.

The planning allows the vanity, wardrobe edge and shower to exist within a continuous visual frame, maintaining openness while clearly defining use.

The vanity becomes a focal moment. A large arched mirror softens the geometry, set against a terrazzo surface that introduces texture and pattern. Twin basins are positioned for ease, while storage is integrated within the composition, keeping the space visually light.

The transition into the shower is deliberate. A stone-clad volume wraps the space, introducing a tactile contrast to the smoother surfaces outside. Niches are carved into the wall, aligning utility with visual rhythm.

Wood continues through the wardrobe and flooring, bringing warmth into the otherwise mineral palette, while glass maintains continuity across the zones.

Every element is resolved to feel calm, intuitive and grounded.

The space does not read as a bathroom alone, but as part of a larger retreat, where material, light and form come together to slow the experience down.

The Master Suite - Sa’ada

The bath continues the uninterrupted spatial experience established across the master suite.

A deep dive into function, where the sequence begins at the vanity, designed with precision for everyday use. Twin basins allow for simultaneous movement, with storage and lighting resolved into a clear, functional composition.

From here, the space transitions into the shower. A bold red insert introduces contrast and energy, becoming a distinct moment within an otherwise controlled palette.

The WC is positioned quietly within the layout, maintaining privacy without interrupting the overall flow.

As the space unfolds further, it opens out toward the deck. The transition is fluid, moving from enclosed to open without disruption. Tucked into this edge is the whirlpool bath, placed to balance privacy with an uninterrupted view of the sea, creating a calm, spa-like experience.

Every element is positioned with intent, allowing the space to function as one continuous sequence, where design, movement and experience come together seamlessly.

The Retreat Suite - Sa’ada

The brief for this suite was
to create a quieter, more introspective space.
A retreat that feels soft and grounded,
while holding a clear architectural identity.

The approach is led by form.
Arches are introduced across doorways and walls, softening movement and creating continuity.
They frame transitions rather than define them,
allowing the suite to feel connected yet composed.

A quiet coastal sensibility runs through the space.
Hidden blues are layered into the palette,
extending the natural tones of the sea from the deck into the interiors.
The transition remains subtle, allowing the outside view
to influence the space without overpowering it.

Function follows this continuity.
The bedroom, wardrobe, vanity, and bath are integrated through a fluid plan, where each zone flows
into the next without abrupt transitions.

The wardrobe is treated as part of the architecture rather than an addition.
Rattan shutters complete the palette, introducing texture
and lightness against the solidity of stone, balancing weight with breathability.

Material continuity becomes the underlying language.
The stone cladding begins at the exterior deck wall
and is carried inward, moving through the wardrobe and extending into the shower.
This uninterrupted surface binds the spaces together, subtly blurring the distinction between inside and outside.

The overall palette is warm and tactile.
Wood underfoot, stone across surfaces, rattan in detail, and softened blues come together to create a layered material experience.

What emerges is a suite that feels architectural yet intimate. A space where form, material, and movement align to create a calm, immersive retreat.

A quieter expression of luxury within the home.
