develops, builds, owns & acquires Renewable Energy Assets currently being built in India. PLGCEP developed India’s 1st 20 MW Solar Power Plant in Patan, Gujarat. The turnaround time to set up the plant was a record of 108 days, the fastest turnaround time in the world from inception to commissioning of the project. The state of the art and world class 20 MW solar power plant is generating 36 million units of renewable energy annually for the country, powering 35000 households annually in the state of Gujarat and saving 34000 tons of Carbon Emission annually for the world. The company is currently developing a project portfolio of 850MW of Solar Power Plant Assets & 650 MW of Wind Power Plant Assets (total Renewable Asset Portfolio size of 1.5 GW) and aiming to build a Renewable Project Asset portfolio of 5000 MW (5 GW in the next 6 years) by 2020. The company is going to make an investment of Rs 5950 Crores (USD 990 Million) to set up 850 MW of solar power plants across India in the next 6 years. The company is in advanced stages of project development & is tying up the capacities for sale of renewable power with several states of India & is inking Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for a period of 25 years. The company has forayed into developing wind power plant assets & will set up 650 MW of wind power plants across India in the next 6 years with an investment of Rs 4550 Crores (USD 758 Million). PLG Clean Energy Projects will invest Rs 10,500 Crores (USD 1.75 Billion) over the next 6 years.
