Grateful to be part of the grand networking initiative organized by the Udyami Maharashtra Federation on Sunday, 10th May across seven major cities of Maharashtra — Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nashik, Nagpur, and Kolhapur.

This powerful initiative, guided by our mentor Dr. Omkar Hari Mali, was dedicated to empowering Marathi entrepreneurs through business networking, knowledge sharing, and export guidance.

I feel proud that our Mumbai team, along with my five colleagues, got the opportunity to lead the event locally. Around 68 entrepreneurs enthusiastically participated in the networking activities, which became the highlight of the meeting. Members from PMP 1 to PMP 11 batches actively interacted, exchanged ideas, built meaningful business connections, and supported each other with practical solutions.

Many participants received genuine business leads, several entrepreneurs found solutions to ongoing challenges, and new members gained valuable insights into selecting the right products for export markets. Senior members also shared their rich experiences in export business, which added immense value to the session.

Overall, the meeting was energetic, insightful, and truly successful — a great example of how strong entrepreneurial communities create growth opportunities together.

Still using conventional radiant tubes in your furnace?

You might be losing money every day without realizing it.

Tubothal Radiant Tube Heaters by Asanjo Heating Systems are engineered to solve the most common furnace challenges:

Frequent tube failures
High maintenance & downtime
Poor temperature uniformity
Rising fuel consumption

Here’s what changes when you switch to Tubothal:

2–4X longer life vs conventional heat-resistant steel tubes
Superior oxidation resistance (FeCrAl alloy advantage)
Better heat transfer & uniform heating
Excellent thermal cycling performance
Lower total cost of ownership

💡 Ideal for:
• Annealing furnaces
• Galvanizing lines
• Heat treatment applications
• Continuous strip processing
And the best part?

👉 Tubothal can be retrofitted into your existing furnace setup with minimal changes.

💰 Higher initial cost? Yes.
Better ROI? Absolutely.
Less replacement. Less downtime. More production.

If you're evaluating an upgrade or facing frequent radiant tube failures, it’s time to rethink your heating system.

DM me or comment “TUBOTHAL” to get a performance comparison report for your application.

Why Argon Welding Is Essential for Kanthal Material | Welding Failures Explained

Description

Learn why Argon welding is critical for Kanthal material. Understand common problems caused by improper welding and how it impacts heater life, performance, and safety.

Focus Keywords

Kanthal welding
Argon welding for Kanthal
Kanthal material welding problems
TIG welding Kanthal
Kanthal heating element failure

Understanding Kanthal Material and Its Welding Sensitivity

Kanthal is an iron–chromium–aluminum (FeCrAl) alloy designed for continuous operation at very high temperatures.
Key properties of Kanthal material:

Excellent oxidation resistance
Ability to form a stable aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) protective layer
High electrical resistivity
Long service life in industrial furnaces
Why Argon Welding Is Mandatory for Kanthal Material
Argon welding provides an inert, oxygen-free environment during the welding process.

Benefits of Argon (TIG) Welding for Kanthal:

Prevents oxidation at the weld joint
Preserves alloy chemistry
Ensures uniform grain structure
Maintains electrical conductivity
Produces strong and ductile welds
Without Argon protection, the weld zone becomes the weakest link in the heating element.

Problems Caused by Improper Welding of Kanthal Material
Below are the major issues that occur when Kanthal material is welded without proper Argon shielding.

1. Oxidation and Porosity at the Weld Joint
2. Brittle Weld Zone and Cracking
3. Increased Electrical Resistance at Weld Area
4. Thermal Shock and Expansion Failures
5. Loss of Protective Aluminum Oxide Layer
6. Contamination from Incorrect Electrodes or Flux
7. Reduced Mechanical Strength at Operating Temperature
8. Safety and Operational Risks

Best Practices for Welding Kanthal Material

To ensure reliable performance, always follow these guidelines:
Use TIG welding with high-purity Argon gas
Maintain Argon shielding until weld cools
Avoid excessive heat input
Clean material thoroughly before welding
Use correct filler material (if required)
Ensure welding is done by trained professionals

Argon welding is not optional — it is essential for ensuring long service life, stable electrical performance, and safe operation of Kanthal heating elements.
If you want your industrial heating system to perform reliably, never compromise on Kanthal welding quality.

Advanced electric heating boosts efficiency—

The kind that plant managers, engineers, and purchasers actually care about:

Instant, Precise Temperature Control
Advanced electric heaters reach target temperature fast and hold it tightly (±1–2°C). That means:
Less warm-up time
No overheating
Consistent product quality and fewer rejects
Higher Energy Conversion Efficiency

Electric heating converts 90–99% of input energy directly into heat at the point of use. Compared to fuel-based systems, there’s:
No flue loss
No standby heat loss
Lower overall energy consumption per cycle
Reduced Downtime & Maintenance

Modern designs (Tubular, Cartridge, Tubothal, Infrared) have:
No combustion parts
Fewer moving components
Longer service life
Result: less unplanned shutdowns and lower maintenance cost.

Faster Process Cycles = Higher Throughput
Rapid heat-up and responsive control allow:
Shorter batch times
Higher line speeds
Better synchronization with automation

This directly increases production output without adding capacity.
Cleaner, Safer & Automation-Ready Operation

Electric heating is:
Emission-free at point of use
Safer for indoor and controlled environments
Easy to integrate with PLCs, PID controllers, and Industry 4.0 systems

🔥 Why Furnace Downtime Happens – and How Good Heaters Prevent It

Unplanned furnace downtime can cost industries lakhs in lost production, inconsistent quality, and high maintenance bills. But most downtime issues come from poor-quality or mismatched heating elements.

⚠ Common Causes of Furnace Downtime

• Element oxidation or premature burnout
• Uneven heat distribution
• Incorrect watt loading
• Poor insulation or heat loss
• Inferior alloy quality (NiCr / FeCrAl)
• Overheating due to design mismatch
🔧 How Good Heaters Prevent It
✔ Use Kanthal/FeCrAl alloys for high-temperature stability
✔ Correct watt-density design = longer life
✔ Bundle Rod / Radiant Tube heaters → uniform heating
✔ Vacuum-Formed ROB panels → reduced heat loss
✔ Consistent resistance → stable furnace cycles
✔ Better energy efficiency → fewer shutdowns
Good heaters aren’t a cost—
they’re insurance for uptime, efficiency, and product consistency.
