The most challenging part of designing a walk-in wardrobe isn’t deciding what to include, it’s knowing what to leave
open. Here, generous circulation, carefully framed vistas and balanced proportions create a sense of calm that no amount of decoration can achieve. Every cabinet, display niche and mirror was positioned to shape movement
rather than interrupt it, proving that thoughtful planning is the true foundation of beautiful design.

The dialogue between Italy and India unfolds with quiet inevitability. Classical European forms, carved stone, aged bronze and sculptural ornament, offer permanence, proportion and memory. Indian devotion, in turn, animates the space through the glow of lamps, the fragrance of flowers and the quiet cadence of daily prayer. Neither tradition seeks to define the other; instead,
each lends the other a deeper sense of purpose.

What emerges is a sanctuary beyond geography, where Italian classicism finds its soul in Indian bhakti. Here, heritage is not collected but absorbed, and every object belongs not because of its origin, but because of the reverence it inspires. It is a space where craftsmanship and faith exist as one, where beauty becomes an act of devotion, and devotion itself becomes the highest expression of beauty.

Every enduring work of architecture begins with an ambition greater than shelter. It seeks to create a legacy. This residence embodies that pursuit through its commanding composition, where expansive volumes, classical rhythm and measured restraint converge into a singular architectural presence. Rising gracefully within Chennai’s tropical landscape, the house embraces the changing sky as an essential part of its identity, allowing nature to complete what craftsmanship has so carefully begun.

Yet, what gives this home its deepest meaning extends beyond its architecture. It continues a relationship nurtured over decades, a dialogue that has evolved across projects and now across generations. Having been entrusted with shaping spaces for the family before, this residence is not simply a new beginning but the quiet continuation of a shared story. It is an architecture informed by familiarity rather than introduction, by trust rather than instruction, and by the privilege of designing not only for a family, but for the legacy they choose to pass forward.

Concept phase: Antwerp

Brief: Make a washroom that feels calm, but has character.

Response: We treated this washroom like a gallery. The tub is the centerpiece. The vanity is a sketch. Lighting is the mood. This concept blurs the line between utility and art — so your daily routine feels curated.

Sometimes the best design is what you don’t notice — until you feel it.

Every site possesses its own geometry, rhythm and character. Contour Responsive Living transforms these natural conditions into the foundation of the design, where the built form follows the land instead of reshaping it. Stepped floor plates, carefully calibrated levels
and expansive glazing work together to preserve the site’s integrity while enriching the experience of living within it. The architecture becomes an extension of the landscape, quietly integrated, environmentally responsive and enduring by design.

A Prelude to the Home

Conceived as the emotional heart of the residence, the living room is a study in atmosphere and orchesation. A sculptural canopy of hand-crafted glass hovers above like a suspended constellation, while illuminated stone walls reveal nature’s artistry in its
purest form. Reflections, textures and light converge to dissolve the boundary between architecture and art, creating an
environment that feels as immersive as it is timeless.

There is a weight to silence when a room is this grand.

In this residence, we went back to the roots of the Parisian Louis XIV style—the era of the ‘Sun King.’ We designed the family room to be a soaring, double-height volume because grandeur needs space to echo. Standing on the staircase, you’re suspended between two worlds of glass. Below you, the warmth of a family home; above you, a celestial dome hand-painted with the secrets of three generations of Milanese artisans. And right in the center, the iDOGI chandelier ( ) —a monumental masterpiece of light that breathes life into the architectural symmetry of the room.

We believe that true luxury isn’t just about what you see, but how a space makes you feel. This is design intended not just to be looked at, but to be felt for generations.
