3 months later… it was finally time to clean my DIY biological chamber. 🐟💧🌿

This extra biological filtration was built alongside my Sunsun CPF 10000 to give my koi an even better environment as they grow.

After 3 months, I opened it up, cleaned the chamber, carried out a water change and added beneficial bacteria to help support the biological filtration.

For me, keeping koi isn’t just about feeding them and watching them grow — water quality is where healthy growth begins. 🐟❤️

Sometimes, loving something also means knowing when it’s time to let go. ❤️🐟

Today, we said goodbye to our Thailand koi.

Not because we didn’t love them.

But because climbing up to this pond every day had become difficult for Amma, and making life easier for her was the most important decision.

At the same time, it marks the beginning of another dream—slowly building an all-Japanese koi collection, one fish at a time.

Every koi has been a part of this journey, and every new chapter starts with a difficult decision.

2 months later… and the pond still looks like this 👀🐟

Today was inspection day.

After running this DIY filtration system for the last two months, I finally took a closer look and completed a water change.

What makes me happiest isn’t the water clarity—it’s seeing the koi active, healthy, and growing well.

Sometimes the best pond upgrades aren’t the most expensive ones. Consistency, observation, and a system that works for your pond can make all the difference.
