Set in the Himalayan foothills of a prominent ski range, our design for this upcoming hospitality resort balances a dramatic backdrop of snow-covered peaks with considered architecture that centres human experience.
The resort achieves this through aggregation. It consolidates the 120-key hotel into a connected built form designed around an orchard of native apple trees creating its own internal ecosystem. Through sequenced organisation, that traverses from galleries, rooms, terraces, and a reflecting pool to the orchards and the mountains, guests' attention shifts constantly between intimate and expansive conditions.
The resulting architecture feels less like hospitality infrastructure and more like a large home embedded in nature, offering guests familiar comfort in a grandiose setting.
