What’s encouraging to see is how this growth is happening on the ground. Support is coming not just from central policies, but also from state-level efforts that are making it easier for people to switch to solar.

So let’s take the example of one society that has successfully gone solar - Mayurdwaj Apartments, IP Extension.

Spread across 5+ acres, with 300+ flats and around 20 lifts, Mayurdwaj was paying ₹26 lakhs a year just for its common-area electricity bill! With solar, that number came down to about ₹11 lakhs - all that was needed was a group of people who believed in the power of the SUN!
