Great example of aphid farming. Aphids are small insects that love to feed on beans and similar plants. Ants love the sweet secretions that the aphids produce. Like humans domesticate livestock, ants farm theses aphids.
Aphids greatly damage your plants. Neem oil, clove oil and cold water sprays are good way to mitigate. Make sure you spray on all the plants to discourage reproduction.
Planting marigold, calitropis and neem in the garden also helps.

Over our 7 weeks journey, we at Gardens of Joy have converted a torn down cow shed into a garden that is currently growing, methi, tomatoes, okra (bhindi), radish, pumpkins and bean varieties.

The students at gardens of Joy also love to learn about ecological concepts, First Aid, management of tools and teamwork.
