OHA Studios O.H.A. STUDIOS is an Architecture and Design Experience. STUDIOS is a very young practice founded by architects Poonam Sardesai & Omkar Agashe in the year 2011.

Along with architectural design & interior design solutions, our primary aim is to establish ourselves as a research driven studio, to include newer materials & techniques in our building systems. Both, graduates from B.K.P.S. College of Architecture, have also done their Masters in London, UK - Omkar in Urban Design from the Bartlett -UCL & Poonam from the Design Research Laboratory (DRL), AA. Two Cities. One Vibe. The Pratha Project. Hand-picked silk sarees showrooms designed in Pune & Thane for Pratha by Kavita Koparkar

The showrooms were conceptualised to be neutral backdrops with a hint of heritage so that the main character - ‘the sarees’ become the stand-out feature in the entire design.
The lighting was carefully crafted to be shadowless and seamlessly blend in with the background. Chandeliers were selected to add vintage glamour to the space.
Brass elements were brought in to accompany the ‘जरी काठ’ woven borders of the sarees and brass motifs were custom-made to depict the wide range of styles available in sarees across India.

Informal Meeting Area at the Headquarters of Baker’s Basket, Pune
A fluid plan with tiered seating has been developed to accommodate a larger number of team members for informal meetings. To compensate for the lesser room height, exposed wiring has been installed.
Micro-topping has been done for the seating platforms, which have been provided with cushions for a more comfortable seating experience.
And of course we have added our ‘touch of fun’ to the project by inserting brass inlays shaped as ants 🐜 moving all across the space which is always filled with the fresh smell of baking!
