For a metro rail project, the key element which drags the construction programme is the construction of an Elevated metro station, due to

1) Land acquisition,
2) Time involved in the construction of cast-in-situ components,
3) Interface issues between Elevated station and Viaduct contractors,
4) System interface issues.

For resolving these kinds of issues MPAC introduces “Precast segment for elevated transit station – a patented product of MPAC PVT LTD”, this concept helps in

1) Reducing the construction period by replacing cast-in-situ components by precast unit,
2) Since precast, this help in Improving quality control,
3) Single deck for the viaduct and platform will help in reducing the construction period,
4) Precast concourse level deck will help in reduce construction time when compared to conventional construction,
5) The newly shaped deck will help to reduce the vertical profile at station location, this will help in achieving overall material optimization in the proposed alignment,

In addition to the above-mentioned advantages, this innovative concept will have saving on overhead and material saving when compared to conventional elevated station construction.
