Performance Ratio ek fraction hai. Industry poora dhyaan numerator pe deti hai, aur denominator ko kabhi audit nahi karti.

Numerator — actual generation. Yeh metered hai, invoiced hai, disputed hai, monthly reconcile hoti hai. Iske peeche sab lage rehte hain.

Denominator — measured irradiance. Yeh ek sensor se aata hai. Ek pyranometer, ek mast pe, poore plant ke liye. Aur uska output kabhi verify nahi hota.

Ab yahan asymmetry samajhne wali hai. Agar pyranometer measured irradiance kam report kare, to denominator chhota ho jaata hai — aur PR badh jaata hai. Yaani sensor ka error plant ko behtar dikhata hai, kharab nahi. Under-reading sensor ek flattering error hai.

Aur denominator ko galat karne ke kai raaste hain: dome pe soiling, calibration sensitivity drift, levelling error (tilt se cosine response badal jaati hai), mast position jo array ke representative nahi hai, structure ya vegetation se partial shading, thermopile sensor mein thermal offset, aur sensor class jo plant ke reporting requirement se match nahi karta.

Sabse important baat yeh hai. Jis din site dusty hai, us din dono cheezein soil hoti hain — modules aur pyranometer dome. Modules soil hone se generation girti hai, to PR girna chahiye. Pyranometer soil hone se measured irradiance girti hai, to PR badhta hai. Do effects ek doosre ko partially cancel kar dete hain.

Iska matlab: soiling loss PR mein dikhna band ho jaata hai. Jo parameter aap soiling detect karne ke liye dekh rahe hain, wahi soiling se masked ho jaata hai.

Aur ek structural point — pyranometer ko clean aur maintain karne wali party usually wahi hai jiski performance PR se measure hoti hai. Yeh self-audit possible nahi hai. Isme koi bad intent zaroori nahi, structure hi aisa hai.

Teen cheezein maango: pyranometer ka last calibration certificate, cleaning log with dates, aur sensor ka level check record.

Topographic survey aur hydrology study — do alag documents hain. Aur zyada tar projects mein sirf pehla hota hai.

Topo survey zameen ka shape deta hai: contour, level, slope. Hydrology study batati hai paani kitna aayega, kahan se aayega, kitni baar aayega. Transformer, inverter, control room ka level doosre document se nikalta hai — pehle se nahi.

Apne EPC scope aur BOQ mein search karo: “hydrology study” likha hai, ya sirf “topographic survey”?

Relay configure ho gayi. Coordinate bhi ho gayi. Lekin kaam abhi khatam nahi hua.

Secondary injection test hi confirm karta hai ki relay actually calculated time pe trip kar rahi hai —sirf settings screen pe sahi dikhna kaafi nahi hai.

Coordination ka poora matlab hai relay ke beech ek sahi time gap.

Yeh gap decide karta hai ki fault hone par sirf woh section trip ho, baaki plant chalta rahe. Time gap galat ho, to ek chhoti fault bhi poore plant ko down kar sakti hai.

Ek relay sahi set hona, kaafi nahi hai.

Agar upstream aur downstream relay ek doosre se coordinate nahi kar rahe, to dono ek saath trip kar sakte hain — ek chhoti fault, poore plant ka shutdown ban sakti hai.

Configuration ke baad, coordination check karna agla step hai.

Relay configure karne se pehle, ek calculation hona zaroori hai - fault level.

Pickup current, trip time, sab kuch is ek number se derive hota hai. Bina fault level calculation ke, relay setting sirf guesswork hai, engineering nahi.

Configuration start karne se pehle, yeh calculation table pe honi chahiye.

Relay factory default setting ke saath aata hai. Lekin default kabhi plant-specific nahi hota.

Har solar plant ka fault level alag hota hai grid strength, cable length, transformer sizing, sab kuch is decide karte hain. Default setting kisi bhi ek plant ke liye engineer nahi kiya gaya.

Agar aapki relay abhi bhi factory default pe hai, yeh ek baar check karne wali baat hai.

Digital twin sirf tab kaam karta hai jab as-built data accurate ho.

Field mein har modification, extension, ya rerouting — agar record nahi hui, to model aur real network mein gap aane lagta hai. Aur planning decisions, upgrades, sab isi galat data pe based ho jaate hain.

Jab DER (solar/battery) load side se fault feed karta hai, directional overcurrent relay sahi time pe trip nahi karta. Kyunki traditional protection schemes sirf one-direction power flow ke liye design hue the.

Agar aapki DER pe*******on badhi hai but protection study wahi purani hai ek baar zaroor check karo.
