दि. ३० एप्रील १९०५ या दिवशी खुदीराम यांचे सहकारी प्रफुल्ल चक्रवर्ती यांनी किंग्ज फोर्ड याच्या गाडीवर एक बॉंब फेकला, परंतु तो चुकून दुसर्‍याच एका गाडीवर पडला. त्या गाडीतील दोन महिला ठार झाल्या, किंग्ज फोर्ड मात्र बचावला. या घटनेच्या दुसर्‍या दिवशी खुदीराम पकडले गेले तर प्रफुल्ल यांनी अटकेपूर्वीच आत्महत्या केली. खुदीराम यांच्यावर खटला भरण्यात आला. त्यांच्याविरुद्ध हत्येचा गुन्हा शाबीत झाल्याने त्यांना दि. ११ ऑगस्ट १९०८ या दिवशी फासावर जावे लागले. सशस्त्र क्रांतीत बॉंबचा उपयोग करणारे खुदीराम बोस हे पहिले क्रांतिकारक ठरले.
