[Whinstone House] The custom handrail befitting the theme was another challenge for us. It has to be classic yet sleek. The painted balusters, stained grab rail in charcoal colour everything came into place for a pristine finish and detail.

The tile selection for the wash area dado and the flooring was also another intended design decision which made the entire composition beautifully detailed.

A look back into the concept plan where it all started. Creativity in a floor plan is often the most overlooked part of a good building.

For the non-architects, having a stunning building is one thing and that being paired with incredibly functional and sensible floor plan is another thing. If you’d ask me, I would be inspired by a great floor plan than any flashy exterior design. Because that’s where the thought process is - that’s where probem solving happens. Yet it stays under appreciated and invisible to many.

Having a sensible layout appreciating the site potential was the greatest challenge we faced here. Yes we ended up in a great looking at the end of the day, but the real gold is the floor plan. If you know, you know.

A look back into the concept plan where it all started. Creativity in a floor plan is often the most overlooked part of a good building. A one-of-a-kind vacation home at the top of Vagamon, Kerala - Designed & shaped for uninterrupted panoramas.
Wrap-around balconies and floor-to-ceiling glazing—every space opens to the landscape. Yes, even the toilet comes with a view.

The greatest challenge was the steep gradient site itself - To have the least building footprint and little to none retaining walls was our highest goal. Our highly proficient design team at ‘Design Collab’ pulled it off like it’s a piece of cake. Kudos to our architects ✌🏼

Yes, you guessed it right. The wide panoramic views and the steep contour forced us to have a tight footprint - Hence the curcular structure with wide cantilevers.
