XLPE:

Our moisture-crosslinkable polyethylene compounds are available for a wide variety of end-use applications. APXLP12 and APXLP13 have become the globally preferred insulation for power cable. APXLP12BC is ideal choice for Self-supporting aerial cable. APXLP-insulated cables have a rated maximum conductor temperature of 90°C and an emergency rating of up to 140 °C. These compounds feature outstanding long term performance with superior strength, toughness, and resistance to heat, chemicals, abrasion and creep. APXLP compounds offer the best of crosslinked polyethylene with the ease of processing found in thermoplastics. APXLP compounds are well-suited for most processing techniques and post-curable by steam.
