I test statici utilizzano un microfono estremamente sensibile che ci permette di ascoltare il rumore prodotto dall'acqua che fuoriesce dalla piscina.

I test Vilo utilizzano una corrente elettrica applicata all'acqua che individua con precisione eventuali perdite nel rivestimento in PVC della piscina.

The Hidden Leak Point in Concrete Pools:

The Wall-to-Floor Connection
​When a pool is built in two separate concrete pours—first the floor slab, then the walls—it creates what engineers call a cold joint (or construction joint).

​Because the new wall concrete never fuses at a molecular level with the cured floor concrete, ground movement, concrete shrinkage, and water pressure inevitably create microscopic gaps along that entire seam around the pool's perimeter.

​Why Is This Seam So Vulnerable?
​Hydrostatic Pressure: Water pressure is highest at the bottom of the pool, pushing hardest against this exact floor-to-wall line.

​Structural Stress: As the ground beneath the pool settles, the joint bears significant structural load and subtle movement.

​Incomplete Bonding: Dust, debris, or poor compaction where the wall meets the floor creates paths for water to seep straight through.

​How to Prevent It During Construction
To stop this seam from leaking, a bentonite swelling waterstop strip (hydrophilic waterstop) should be installed along the center of the cold joint before the wall is poured. When water reaches the strip, it swells up to 300% to 500%, packing tightly into every hairline void to create a high-pressure hydraulic seal. Unfortunately most contractors do not bother with this waterstop strip.

Pools finished with tiles or plaster should have a flexible waterproof membrane applied to the walls and floor underneath the final layer of tiles or plaster but again this is very often missed as it adds a considerable cost.
