🌱 Hydroponics, aquaponics, RDWC: different systems, one common need.

Each setup has its own balance to maintain.

🟢 In hydroponics, water carries oxygen and nutrients directly to the roots.

🟢 In aquaponics, plants, aquatic life and beneficial bacteria share the same recirculating system.

🟢 In RDWC, the nutrient solution continuously moves between connected growing sites.

Different configurations, different requirements. But in all of them, water temperature plays a key role in keeping growing conditions stable and under control.

TECO PONIC develops cooling solutions designed to support different system sizes, layouts and applications, helping growers manage temperature where it matters most.

🌿🐟 What is aquaponics?

Aquaponics is a growing system that combines aquaculture and hydroponics: fish and plants share the same water circuit and, together with beneficial bacteria, contribute to the balance of the system.

Fish waste is converted by bacteria into nutrients that plants can absorb. The water is then continuously recirculated and reused throughout the system.

It is a circular approach that makes it possible to grow without soil and use water efficiently, from small home setups to greenhouses and professional installations.

In aquaponics, however, water is the shared environment for fish, plants and microorganisms. Keeping its conditions stable, including temperature, is therefore essential to maintaining the balance of the entire system.

And this is where TECO PONIC comes in, with solutions designed to control water temperature in aquaponic systems of different sizes and requirements.

🌱 What is hydroponics, really?

In simple terms, it means growing plants without soil. Instead, the roots get the water, oxygen, and nutrients they need from a controlled nutrient solution.

The result? More precise control over growing conditions, more efficient use of water, and the possibility to grow even where soil isn’t available or suitable.

And hydroponics isn’t just about large-scale farming. It can be used for a small balcony setup, a greenhouse, an indoor growing system, or a large professional installation.

That’s exactly why TECO PONIC solutions are designed to fit different systems and different growing needs, helping you keep water temperature under control.

Because whether your setup is small or large, water temperature makes a difference.

🚀 Meet the new TECO Drop-in.

The new TECO Drop-in series brings our refrigeration experience into hydroponics with a plug & play solution designed to make cooling easier to install, manage and integrate.

🟢 Its titanium heat exchanger is immersed directly in the water, inside the tank or the system that needs to be cooled. This means no complex hydraulic connections, no structural changes and no additional pumps dedicated to the chiller.

🟢 Compact, reliable and easy to move, Drop-in is designed for different hydroponic applications: RDWC systems, storage tanks, soilless cultivation, vertical farming, DIY systems, experimental setups, seasonal installations and emergency configurations.

🚀 A new step in TECO’s identity

Over the past months, we have worked to make the TECO brand clearer, more consistent and easier to recognise. This is the reason we have evolved our brand identity, updating our logos, websites, social channels and visual communication.

Each sector we work in, now has its own dedicated brand:
📍TECO AQUA for the aquarium sector
📍TECO PONIC for hydroponic farming
📍TECO HORECA for the foodservice industry.
Different areas, different needs, one shared foundation.

TECO remains the institutional brand: the place where you can always find us, our values and the way we work, whatever sector you are looking at.

For us, this is more than a visual update: it is a way to help customers, partners and everyone who follows us find the right information more easily and understand our world better.
