Sweet and herbal, spicy and balsamic: spring brightness, that’s Akragas, the high land of the Greeks. It recalls gardens and vineyards, the freshness of the citrus truit, the fruity and resinous scent of myrtle. The depth and the magic opulence of rum evokes tunics fluttering and bracelets jingling, while the spirals of incense dance in the air as a tribute to divinities.
The complicity betweenthe enhancing notes of the star anise and tangerine and the deeper ones of black pepper, make you wander through the expanse of land of the «most wonderful among the cities of mortals», between the pungent flavour of rosemary and cypress. Back to warmer and welcoming tones of sandalwood and patchouly, the involvement concludes, persistent and fiery, carrying balsamic and ambered exotic suggestions.

Ortiughia is a door, wide open on Mediterrenean. It’s a garden on a bright summer, sparkling and fascinating, just like the apple, the forbidden fruit. It embodies its juicy prosperityand sour sweetness. In the cradle of Artemis, goddess of the moon and twin sister of Apollo, god of the sun, the game of balance takes place between apple and fig, between fresh and sweet.
The fig envelops with its intense yet delicate aroma, with the warm sweetness of its notes. Osmanthus, with its recall of apricotskin, enhances the fragrances with sweet traits of honey and fruit. The balsamic ambered tenacities of vetiver, themselves, spread all avore the creamy and sensual body of Sandalwood. Could it be, perhaps, Eden?

Il fico avvolge con il suo aroma intenso e delicato, con la calda dolcezza delle sue note. balance of the opposites, it is east and west. The cardamom, warm and spicy, raises the stakes on the clean fizzy notes of tangerine. The transparent and sensual facets of the
Bulgarian rose, blend into the balsamic purity of fenugreek:
sweet, rich and intense. The Cypriol, woody and deep, persists in a balsamic effusion releasing cidrus scents and
combines to the honey sweet fragrance of osmanthus.

Il suo carattere è la mescolanza: il calore della pesca e la freschezza speziata dell’elemie, ancora, la nota decisa ed esaltante del pepe nero. Khalisa è equilibrio degli opposti, è oriente e occidente. Il cardamomo, caldo e speziato, gioca al rilancio con le note pulite e frizzanti del mandarino.
Le sfaccettature trasparenti e sensuali della rosa bulgara, si fondono nella purezza balsamica del fieno greco, dolce, ricco e intenso. As the fruit spotted sparkling on a sunset, while admiring the landscape beyond the slopes of the volcano: the green gold of Sicily, pistachio. Tradition has it that the origin of this name, Pistak, can be found in the sound released by the shell of the fruit when it discloses and shows the green gem it preserves. Il vulcano e il mare, il fuoco e l’acqua si contendono questa terra di sciara.

“People called him Colapesce/ since he stood in the sea like a fish/ nobody knew where he came from/ perhaps he was son of Neptune”. That’s what is said by the ancient chant dedicated to Cola son of the sea, argonaut of the abysses. A young fish-man who three times accepted the challenge of the emperor Federico Il and three times dove within the deepest waters and re-emerged triumphant delivering to the king the goblet, the crown, the ring.
Colapesce had number three in his doom: he noticed that one of the three columns supporting Sicily was about to crumble. Colapesce, son of the Earth and of the Sea, didn’t lose the chance to save his island, so he replaced the column with his body. To this very day, he is still there,
Colapesce the spirit of the sea, wave, living breeze, seaweed, mineral.

“La gente lo chiamava Colapesce/ perché stava in mare come un pesce/ da dove veniva non lo sapeva nessuno/ forse era figlio del Dio Nettuno”. Così narra il canto antico dedicato a Cola figlio del mare, argonauta degli abissi. Un ragazzo - pesce che per tre volte colse la sfida dell’imperatore Federico Il e per tre volte si immerse nelle acque più profonde e riemerse vincitore, consegnando al re la coppa, la corona, l’anello. Colapesce aveva il numero tre nel suo destino: si avvide che una delle tre colonne che reggevano la Sicilia era prossima a crollare. Colapesce, figlio della terra e del mare, non esitò a salvare la sua isola, e si sostitui alla colonna. Ancora oggi è li Colapesce, spirito del mare, onda, brezza vitale, alga, minerale.
