A page set up to capture high quality images of, and to share and discuss information relating to the amazing German WWII bunkers on the island of Jersey, Channel Islands.These were built during the Occupation of Jersey in WWII on the orders of Hi**er creating the islands Fortress.The intention is to show the bunkers in situ within their landscape on the island. Please remember all images are copyrighted and all rights are reserved so if you want to use them, please ask before you do.

Weekend plans? We’ve spotted a good one.

The Channel Islands Occupation Society are reopening the bunker at Strongpoint Corbière this Sunday – and if you’re even mildly into Jersey’s history, it’s worth your time.

Operation Hardtack, living history reenactors, kit displays… it’s shaping up to be a fascinating afternoon.

We’ll be open too (with lunch, coffee and a wander through the tunnels if you fancy it), so you can make a proper day of it.

Start at Corbière. Continue underground.
Or the other way round – history works both ways.

Bunker museum open on Sunday. Definitely worth a visit

The Museum will be OPEN this Sunday morning (16th November) from 10.00am until 1.00pm (last entry12.30).
Last week a couple of people brought items down to show us and or donate to the Museum, so that would be nice if it happens again. We are always on the lookout for new and interesting items for our displays and document/photo archive. So if you have something of interest why not bring it down for us to see,
