So pleased to see Jack sharing his experiences of local study and employment. 👏

We’re really proud to have been part of his journey so far and to have supported him as he’s taken the next steps into the construction industry.

“Each project has taught me something new… it all traces back to the skills and opportunities I had at Highlands.”

We spoke to Jack Arthur, Project Manager at ROK Group Construction and Highlands College alumnus, about how he progressed from exploring trades on a BTEC course to delivering some of Jersey’s most significant construction projects.🏗️👷‍♂️

After starting in Construction at Highlands, Jack developed his passion for practical learning, teamwork, and problem-solving, working on major projects including the Police Headquarters, College Gardens redevelopment, and Les Quennevais School.

“That opportunity really set everything in motion… I set out to prove myself, and I was trusted with more responsibility.”

Read Jack’s full story, and how hands-on learning and determination helped him build a career from the ground up, on our website.

🎉 What an incredible few days! 🚴🇫🇷

Our 2026 charity cycling challenge is complete!

Over 29 cyclists took on an amazing 380km over three days around Nantes, with a brave few even adding the ride back to St Malo to finish their adventure in style! 💪

Together, we've raised over £14,000 (and counting!) for Friends of Mont à l’Abbé School, Friends of Le Murier, and other Channel Island charities.

A huge thank you to every rider, supporter, volunteer and everyone who has donated along the way. You made this challenge a real success.

The fundraising page is still open, so if you'd like to help us raise even more for these fantastic charities, there's still time to donate. 👇

🚴‍♂️ 300km. 3 days. One shared purpose. 🚴‍♀️

Next week, a group of riders will take on a three-day cycling challenge through France, covering around 300km to raise funds for two fantastic causes that make a real difference in our island communities.

In Jersey, we're supporting the wonderful work of Friends of Mont à l’Abbé School, helping provide opportunities, equipment and experiences for children with special educational needs.

In Guernsey, we're proud to support Friends of Le Murier, whose fundraising helps residential and outdoor learning programmes of students at Le Murier School.

While the route takes us across France, the focus remains firmly on giving back to both islands and supporting young people and families in our communities.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps these incredible charities continue their work.

If you'd like to support the riders and the causes they're cycling for, please donate here:
