How can architecture embody the lessons it seeks to teach? And how can it shape the spirit of learning?

These were the questions we asked ourselves at Praxis when we embarked on the repurposing of two buildings in the Business Park for the Hussein Technical University campus expansion.

Every space was designed with one goal in mind: to create an environment that supports and enriches the student learning experience. The result is two buildings featuring spacious classrooms, study-friendly halls, and dynamic spaces that foster multidisciplinary learning and connection.

كيف يمكن للعمارة أن تجسّد الدروس التي تسعى إلى ايصالها؟ وكيف يمكنها أن تُشكّل روح التعلّم؟

انت هذه الأسئلة تشكل محور تفكيرنا في Praxis عندما بدأنا مشروع إعادة توظيف مبنيين في مجمّع الأعمال ضمن توسعة حرم جامعة الحسين التقنية. 
تم تصميم كل مساحة بهدف واحد: توفير بيئة تدعم و تثري تجربة الطلاب التعليمية. وكانت النتيجة مبنيين يضمان قاعات دراسية رحبة، ومساحات مهيّأة للدراسة، وبيئات ديناميكية تعزّز التواصل و التعلّم متعدد التخصصات .

Industrial cities are not typically known for architectural expression, but the Ready Built Factories (RBFs) in Riyadh’s 4th Industrial City offered an opportunity to rethink that narrative.
The project comprises 24 factory sites designed within an established modular framework previously developed for the client. Building on this foundation, the facades were reimagined in line with updated design guidelines aimed at creating a distinct identity for different factory typologies.
Three new architectural prototypes were developed and adapted across three facility sizes, introducing a stronger visual character while maintaining efficiency, functionality, and operational flexibility.
This project demonstrates how thoughtful design can elevate industrial environments, proving that utility and aesthetics can successfully coexist.

‎لا تُعرف المدن الصناعية عادةً بكونها وجهةً للتميز المعماري، لكن مشروع المصانع الجاهزة (RBFs) في المدينة الصناعية الرابعة بالرياض قدّم فرصة لإعادة صياغة هذه الصورة النمطية.
‎يضم المشروع 24 موقعاً صناعياً صمم مسبقا من قبل العميل ضمن منظومة إنشائية معيارية. وانطلاقاً من هذا الأساس، أُعيد تصميم الواجهات بما يتوافق مع الإرشادات التصميمية المحدثة، بهدف منح كل فئة من المصانع هوية بصرية مميزة.
‎تم تطوير ثلاثة نماذج معمارية جديدة وتكييفها لتناسب ثلاثة أحجام مختلفة من المصانع، مما أضفى طابعاً بصرياً أكثر قوة وتميزاً، مع الحفاظ على الكفاءة التشغيلية والمرونة الوظيفية التي تتطلبها البيئات الصناعية.
‎يجسد هذا المشروع كيف يمكن للتصميم المدروس أن يرتقي بالعمارة الصناعية، مؤكداً أن الجماليات والوظيفة يمكن أن يتكاملا بنجاح ضمن بيئة واحدة.

قدّمت المهندسة المعمارية هديل عايد محاضرة في جامعة الحسين التقنية حول منهجية تصميم مشروع توسعة الحرم الجامعي، وسط تفاعل لافت ومشاركات قيّمة من الحضور

عكس المشروع رؤية الجامعة في دعم التعلّم التطبيقي عبر بيئة تفاعلية متعددة التخصصات، الذي نفخر برؤيته اليوم نابضًا بالحياة الطلابية

حيث تحمل هديل ماجستير في التصميم المعماري المتقدم من جامعة بنسلفانيا، وهي عضو في فريق Praxis منذ 2018، وساهمت في المشروع منذ الفكرة وحتى الإنجاز

Our Associate Architect, Hadeel Ayed Mohammad, delivered a lecture at Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) on the design methodology behind the campus expansion project followed by a lively and valuable discussion with student and faculty members

The project reflects HTU’s vision for hands-on learning through an interactive and multidisciplinary environment, and we are proud to see it bustling with student life

Hadeel holds a Master’s degree in Advanced Architectural Design from the University of Pennsylvania and has been part of the Praxis team since 2018, contributing to the project from concept to completion

Commissioned by MODON, these projects deliver a comprehensive master plans and infrastructure design for a strategic logistics and technology cities across Riyadh,Jeddah, Makkah, Dammam, and Madinah—spanning over 15 million m². Each of the four sites were carefully positioned and planned to unlock future industrial growth, with direct access to key infrastructure and seamless integration into Saudi Arabia’s supply chain ecosystem prioritizing efficiency, security, compliance, and connectivity

بتكليف من شركة (مدن)، يقدم هذا المشروع مخططًا رئيسيًا شاملًا وتصميمًا للبنية التحتية لمدن لوجستية و تكنولوجية تمتد عبر الرياض وجدة ومكة المكرمة والدمام والمدينة المنورة، على مساحة تزيد عن 15 مليون متر مربع. وقد تم اختيار كل موقع لهذه المدن بعناية فائقة وتخطيطها بدقة لتمكين النمو الصناعي المستقبلي، ووصلها بشكل مباشر مع البنية التحتية الرئيسية ودمجها بسلاسة في منظومة سلسلة التوريد في المملكة العربية السعودية، مع إيلاء الأولوية للكفاءة والأمن والامتثال والترابط.

“Basra Park | حديقة البصرة
After years of restricted entry, Basra Park is now reimagined as a dynamic waterfront destination in the heart of Busra city. Located between the Basra Museum and Shatt Al-Arab, the 20,000 sqm site is transformed through a continuous waterfront promenade, activating the edge and reconnecting people with the river. The project offers a balanced transition between urban and park acivities,reconnecting visitors with the river and bringing life back to one of Basra’s more iconic water fronts.”

بعد سنوات من الإغلاق، افتًتحت حديقة البصرة برؤية جديدة لتصبح وجهة نابضة بالحياة على الواجهة المائية في قلب مدينة البصرة. تقع الحديقة الممتدة على مساحة 20,000 متر مربع بين متحف البصرة وشط العرب، حيث المماشي والمساحات المتعددة الاستخدامات التي تربط ما بين المدينة والنهر وتوازن ما بين الأنشطة الحضرية والمساحات الترفيهية.

Wa’aila Ecological Park is a 700,000 m² landmark at the edge of Waad Al Shamal. Framed by the dramatic Wa’aila Mountain, it transforms the industrial periphery into a living green corridor. Four key connections stitch the city together to nature, while wetlands, native planting, and water systems restore biodiversity, attract wildlife, and cool the urban climate. This is where industry meets ecology, and nature takes the lead.

تُعدّ حديقة وعد الشمال معلمًا بيئيًا بارزًا يمتد على مساحة 700 ألف متر مربع على أطراف مدينة وعد الشمال. تُحيط الحديقة بجبال وعيلة الشامخة، التي تتحول من خلالها الضواحي الصناعية إلى ممر أخضر نابض بالحياة، وتقوم بربط المدينة بأربعة مسارات رئيسية بالطبيعة، بينما تعمل الأراضي الرطبة والنباتات المحلية وشبكات المياه على تعزيز التنوع البيولوجي، وجذب الحياة البرية، وتحسين مناخ المدينة.

Saudi Arabian Railway (SAR) Station in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The station's design was inspired by the surrounding sand dunes of the area, featuring two distinct semi-vaults with rectilinear light and perforated facades that define the station's two main spaces. Complying with LEED Platinum requirements, the station is designed to bring elements from Sudair's architecture and nature with modern-day energy requirements

محطة سكة حديد السدير - المملكة العربية السعودية
استُلهم تصميم المحطة من الكثبان الرملية الموجودة في المنطقة، حيث يتميز التصميم بوجود قبتين تحددان المداخل الرئيسية للمبنى وواجهات مستطيلة الشكل يتخللها ثقوب تسمح بدخول أشعة الشمس إلى الداخل. يتوافق تصميم المحطة مع معايير الاستدامة وحفظ الطاقة حسب متطلبات شهادة الــ (LEED) البلاتينية ليدمج بين عناصر من عمارة وطبيعة مدينة سدير مع متطلبات المباني الحديثة ،والأخذ بعين الاعتبار توفير الإضاءة الطبيعية والمساحات الخضراء
