しばらく小品盆栽の投稿を続けます。
幹の力強い動きと、左に突き出す差し枝がお気に入りの真柏です。
葉をしばらく茂らせてから枝葉の整理で棚をつくり、一枝一枝の空間を美しく表現していきたいと思っています。
数年後には今より風格のある姿になってくれることを楽しみに育てています。

I'll be sharing a series of shohin bonsai for a while.
This Shimpaku juniper is one of my favorites, especially for its acute trunk movement and the primary branch extending to the left.
For now, I'll let the foliage grow freely before refining the pads by thinning and arranging the branches to create beautiful negative space between each one.
I'm looking forward to seeing it develop even more character and elegance over the next few years.

It's not even the weekend, but I enjoyed a time with beer & my bonsai.
The bonsai printed on the beer can is a Japanese white pine, the symbol of Kitadani Yoseien in Takamatsu.
Time to recharge—I'll do my best again starting tomorrow! 💪

フィカス素材を少しだけ植え付け角度を起こして植え替えました。
鉢はトロピカル感があまりない、控えめなモノを選びました。
樹種的に根が強く、樹勢さえあれば時期もあまり選ばないので楽ですね。
しばらく半日陰で回復させます。

I repotted this ficus and slightly adjusted the planting angle to make it a bit more upright.
I chose a more understated pot rather than something with a strong tropical feel.
One of the nice things about ficus is that their roots are vigorous, and as long as the tree is healthy, they are fairly forgiving when it comes to repotting timing.
I'll keep it in partial shade for a while to help it recover.

My crabapple has set fruit.
If I let it carry too many fruits, it will use a lot of the tree's energy, so I think I'll reduce the number of fruits starting next year.
The tree still needs more branch and structure development, so building the tree's shape is my priority next season.

オフィスで育てていたシェフレラ(写真手前)ですが、植え付け角度が好きではなかったので家に持ち帰って植え替えしました。
このシェフレラをいわゆる盆栽になりきれていませんが少しは盆栽らしくなったと思います。

本当はオフィスデスクに真柏を飾りたいですが、室内でそれはできないので、苦し紛れとしてシェフレラとミリオンバンブーをデスクに置いています。

This Schefflera used to live on my office desk, but I was not happy with the planting angle. So I brought it home, repotted it, adjusted the angle, and took a photo.

I wouldn't really call this a bonsai, but I think it has moved a little closer in that direction.

What I'd really like to display on my office desk is a Shimpaku. Unfortunately, as most of you know, that simply isn't practical indoors.
So as a compromise, I keep this Schefflera and a lucky bamboo on my desk instead.
