The shopping bags and gift wrapping have also been redesigned for the season, featuring a horse racing gracefully through the streets of Ginza toward the future.

5月にPaul smithさんに会いにロンドンオフィスへ行ってきたのでご紹介です。

竹林が30年間Paul smithを着続けているファンというインパクトはありつつも笑、デザイナー・クリエイターという職種に対してのPaulさんの温かい眼差しがつなげてくれた素敵な縁でした。

お土産に持参したSHAグッズは
・360°BOOK
全シリーズ持っていったら、すでに富士山は気になって購入されていたようで、オフィスにポンと置いてあるのを見つけました！
・UNCONTROLLED TYPES
私たちが出会うきっかけとなったBOOK。日本で人伝にお渡ししたBOOKもオフィスに置いてくれていました！
・SHA cap
外ロケ用にお遊びで作ったSHA帽子ですが、お土産にお渡ししていたりします😁すぐに被ってポーズを決めてくれました⚡️
・竹林のPaul Smith Historyポスター
1995年からの写真がずらっと集結。懐かしいなぁ〜、あったねこの服！覚えてるよ〜。と盛り上がり、スタッフの皆さんとも一緒にわいわいお話ししました😊

ロンドン経由でNYのcreative weekにも参加したので、しっかりPaul Smithのスーツで出席してきました📸

出迎えてくれた時も、話している間も、たまに仕事モードになる時も、彼のエネルギーと何かを見つけようとする目の力強さがとても印象的で、
クリエイターとして、原点は常にエモーショナルでいたいと改めて思った濃密な時間でした。

A little while ago, we visited Paul Smith’s London office.
While it may sound amusing that Kazu has been wearing Paul Smith for nearly 30 years, what truly stayed with us was Paul’s warm and generous outlook on designers and creators. It became a meaningful connection shaped by mutual curiosity and respect.
We brought several SHA items as gifts:
– 360° BOOK — we later noticed the Mt. Fuji edition already placed casually in the office
– UNCONTROLLED TYPES — the book that originally connected us, also kept at the office
– SHA cap — originally made just for fun on outdoor shoots; he immediately put it on and struck a pose ⚡️
– Kazu’s Paul Smith History poster, featuring images from 1995 onward, which sparked nostalgic conversations with Paul and his team
After London, we also joined Creative Week in New York, attending in a Paul Smith suit 📸
From the moment he welcomed us, through conversation and even brief work-focused moments, Paul’s energy and his sharp, searching eyes left a lasting impression.
It was an inspiring time that reminded us how essential it is, as creators, to stay emotionally grounded at our core.
