= Bike Rental = 【Bonus Story Final】
Sometimes, one rental turns into a chapter.
この物語は、ついに「完結編」を迎えました。
After setting off from Okinawa on an e-bike journey across Japan, our guest has now completed an incredible loop around Shikoku – and safely made it back home. Along the way, they finished the remaining sections of the Shimanami Kaido routes, riding the Kakishima Kaido and Sazanami Kaido before crossing the famous bridges to Imabari.
In their latest message, they shared that it took five days to complete these routes and reach Imabari, and that from there, the next goal was a full circle around Shikoku. A later message arrived with the words every traveler wants to say at the end of a long journey: they made it home, a little delayed by a typhoon, but with their dream of cycling around Shikoku fully achieved.
The photos they sent feel like postcards from a long adventure:
- Colorful murals marking the start and goal of the Shimanami Kaido.
- A neatly written notebook tallying up thousands of kilometers – Okinawa, Kyushu, and now Shikoku – for a total of 3,428 km so far.
- Their trusted e-bike standing at the northernmost point of Shikoku, at capes and lighthouses along the Seto Inland Sea, in front of castle gates, and at coastal monuments shaped like wings and hearts.
In one message, they wrote that renting a “wonderful bike” from our shop gave them the confidence to believe: “If I have this bike, I can ride around Shikoku.” And then they went out and proved it. Knowing that a single rental in Naha could grow into a journey this big is something that makes us quietly, deeply happy.

レンタルの「その先」に続いていった、ひとつの物語。今回で番外編は完結です。
沖縄での初めてのe-bikeレンタルから始まった旅は、九州一周、しまなみ海道、そして四国一周へ。
「しまなみ7海道の未達分を走りきって今治へ」「これなら四国一周できると思った」と教えてくれたメッセージを読んだとき、胸がいっぱいになりました。
送ってくださった写真には、カラフルな「SHIMANAMI KAIDO START & GOAL」の壁絵、四国最北端の碑の前に立つ相棒のe-bike、灯台へ続く道の案内板、足摺岬の青い看板、今治城の写真パネル前など、旅の足跡がぎっしり詰まっています。ノートには、自宅から始まり、沖縄・九州・四国あわせて3,428kmという数字が手書きで記されていました。
台風でフライトが欠航になりながらも、無事に「マイホーム到着」の報告をいただき、「素晴らしいレンタルチャリをお借りしたことで四国一周を達成できた」と言ってもらえたことは、レンタルショップとしてこれ以上ないご褒美です。
たった一度のレンタルが、誰かの人生の大きな旅路のスタートになることがある。
その瞬間に立ち会えたことを、本当にうれしく思います。
