He worked all over the world, for Himself and other people. Including Kirkpatricks,(falkirk Scotland), Normans (UK), Hanson Musical Instruments (UK) Instrumoon (Middle East) and Kebab music (NZ). Harue worked for Muramatsu Flutes (Tokarozawa) as a padding specialist and Kebab Music (NZ) as a flute specialist.

And finally finished, scrubbed up alright, it was never going to be a show winner finish wise so didn't bother trying just cleaned it. Plays very well and has a very bright, for a Martin sound. The second is with his younger brother who is in immaculate shape for being 84, lacquer is original and 90%.

Finally the neck, and that was a mess too! Split in the bottom at the mouthpiece end, not uncommon on old saxophones. So...

Finally the neck, and that was a mess too! Split in the bottom at the mouthpiece end, not uncommon on old saxophones. Someone had covered it in soft solder in the past, so i cleaned it up cut out all the rot and silvered soldered the split. Unfortunately I didn't take an outside shot and did such a nice neck cork settled for an inside shot. I made a ring for the end to add some extra support.

And on today's, slightly later than advertised, exciting installment of how to rebuild an old sax it's needle spring time. Not the most exciting part of the job but needs to be done. Then refit all the key rollers, all of them had split, filled with super glue sanded and polished good to go!
