🌱 Advancing Innovation Through Industry–Academia Collaboration

Sakaegumi participated in the Green Infrastructure × Smart Agriculture Seminar as part of our ongoing joint research project with Akita University and Hachinohe Institute of Technology.

The seminar brought together researchers, industry professionals, local organizations, and government representatives to exchange knowledge and explore innovative solutions for sustainable agriculture and green infrastructure.

As part of the program, our President, Yoshihiro Sasaki, introduced Sakaegumi's initiatives in developing green infrastructure technologies. Researchers from Akita University and Hachinohe Institute of Technology also presented their latest findings on sustainable environmental solutions.

EE Tohoku 2026

This year, Sakaegumi Corporation was proud to once again exhibit at EE Tohoku 2026, the largest construction technology exhibition in the Tohoku region, held in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture. The event showcased the latest innovations in DX, ICT, AI, and infrastructure technologies.

Together with our group company, Penetron Japan Ltd., we showcased our Adjustable Pressure Injection System (SAPIS) technology, along with Penetron's advanced concrete durability and crystalline waterproofing solutions.

We were pleased to receive positive feedback from visitors and engage in meaningful discussions on infrastructure maintenance, concrete repair, and future technologies. The exhibition also provided a valuable opportunity to reconnect with our long-time customers and partners while meeting new visitors and industry professionals.

In April 2026, our team conducted an on-site training and field demonstration of SAPIS Technology in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.

The program was organized in collaboration with Daiba Construction Co., Ltd., a member of the SAPIS construction network across Japan, bringing together construction companies from various regions for technical exchange🤝

Our Company President, Mr. Yoshihiro Sasaki, recently participated in a seminar organized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), with support from Boston Consulting Group (BCG), as part of the “Global South Future-Oriented Co-creation Project,” aimed at promoting the expansion of Japanese companies into Latin America.

The seminar focused on expanding business opportunities in Latin America and strengthening Japan–Latin America partnerships, featuring real case studies and practical insights into key challenges and strategies. He also shared valuable insights from our company’s experience in expanding into Latin American markets.

We sincerely appreciate this opportunity and remain committed to strengthening international collaboration and expanding our global presence.

We are proud to share that our President recently spoke at the “Overseas Expansion of Infrastructure Maintenance” symposium, organized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) as part of the FY2025 Infrastructure Maintenance National Council.
