*Governor James Aggrey Bob Orengo* today with Water, Sanitation and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary Zacharia Mwangi Njeru who had earlier on paid him a courtesy call in his office made an extensive tour of LOWER NZOIA IRRIGATION SCHEME PHASE 1 which is in the homestretch of completion. The scheme funded by Word Bank , covering Siaya and Busia counties was conceptualised to mitigate the flooding of River Nzoia through construction of a d**e as well connecting the rice growing Bunyala Irrigation scheme to the Lower Nzoia Scheme water through canals. This will greatly lower the cost of producing rice due to proximity of the much needed water for the paddies .
The entourage also visited Siriwo Rice Mill in Usonga Ward where installation of a modern mill is being completed with construction of a new power line to serve the mill also at an advanced stage .

We are a team from Mwea under a construction company by the name Henics electrical are almost completing installation of a 1.5 tons mill in Migori county and specifically in a center known as Nyatike about 50 km from migori on our way to Sori bay.its only 50 bids ride to Tanzania.
