โEnabling Private-Sector Innovation in Agricultural Storage: Lessons from the agriGHALA Warehouse Receipt Model in Kenyaโ ๐พ
We are excited to share a newly published policy brief highlighting key lessons, opportunities, and insights emerging from the implementation of the agriGHALA warehouse receipt model in Kenya.
The publication highlights how certified warehousing, electronic warehouse receipts, grain-backed financing, and structured market access are helping transform grain into a financeable and tradeable asset for smallholder farmers in Kenya. It also showcases the growing role of private-sector innovation in strengthening structured grain trade systems.
The brief features early insights from the agriGHALA pilot in Eldoret, including successful warehouse receipt-backed financing, certified storage, quality assurance, and market linkage under one integrated platform โ reinforcing agriGHALAโs position as a preferred structured grain trading platform for farmers, financiers, and market players.
At agriBORA, we believe the future of agriculture depends on transparent, quality-assured, and finance-ready grain systems.
We encourage stakeholders across agriculture, finance, policy, and development to read the brief and engage with the insights shaping the future of structured grain trade.
