When buying LAND/PLOT;
Start with a land surveyor who will do the following;
- Guide you if the geographical location of the land/parcel is okay(you may be shown the neighbors plot).
-Measure the ground area and compare it with the registered area(you may end up with a smaller plot as compared to the papers you are buying).
-Ensure the land is amended on the Registry Index Map,RIM(you'll have trouble developing the parcel if not amended) among other due diligence services which a land surveyor will help you with.

If you are now comfortable and your surveyor okays the land, you can proceed to the final negotiations and paper work processing.
