HVAC Installation Procedures
1. Be properly sized to provide correct airflow, and meet room-by-room calculated heating and cooling loads;
2. Be installed so that the static air pressure drop across the handler
is within manufacturer and design specifications to have
the capacity to meet the calculated loads;
3. Have sealed supply ductwork that will provide proper airflow;
4. Be installed with a return system sized to provide the correct return
5. Have sealed return ductwork that will provide proper airflow
5. Have sealed return ductwork that will provide proper air flow
to the fan, and avoid air entering the HVAC system from polluted
zones (e.g., fumes from autos and stored chemicals, and
attic particulates);
6. Have balanced air flows between supply and return systems to
maintain neutral pressure in the home;
7. Minimize duct air temperature gain or loss between the air
handler and room registers, and between return registers and
the air handler;
8. Be properly charged with refrigerant;
9. Have proper burner operation and proper draft.

Troubleshooting a system with excessive superheat charge

04/11/2019

Have you ever wondered about the mechanism behind TXV (Thermostatic expansion valve)?
Thiz what happens...
Inside the sensing bulb, there is a small amount of constrained refrigerant, i.e., it exists in a closed system. The refrigerant in the small reservoir boils as the temperature rises, which hikes the pressure in the capillary tubing. In response, the pressure pushes down the diaphragm, which in return pushes the pin to compress the spring downwards, opening wide the or***ce to allow more refrigerant to pass through. The compression force acts in the opposite direction and balances off where it equals the force in the diaphragm, allowing adjustment to attain the correct or***ce size. The increased amount of the refrigerant reduces the superheat temperature at the exit, and so the mechanism repeats to adjust the position as the load reduces. Follow the link for more info
