Wind Load: Manual Calculation According to ASCE 7 vs ETABS
When comparing Manual Calculation and ETABS Wind Load Calculation, both should theoretically produce similar results if the same assumptions and parameters are used from American Society of Civil Engineers standard ASCE 7.
However, differences often appear because ETABS automatically applies many provisions that engineers may simplify or overlook in manual calculations.
