the dance centre is blessed to have a profusion of blooming sacred plants this month. Reported before, and again here, the Sacred Garlic Pear tree is dense with blossoms, and has prompted us to know more about it. It turns out that this tree is typically planted in temples or near them and is revered for it's 'deep-rooted association with Hindu, Buddhist and local spiritual traditions' here in southeast Asia. It is worshipped for its protective, divine energy and appreciated for its Ayurvedic medicinal powers. We now have a deepened appreciation for this tree; besides being stunning to look at, it has a venerable presence that we are blessed to be close to. To add to the joy, the lotus flowers are suddenly blooming after months of absence, and the long-awaited Cannon-ball tree flowers, from a tree also associated with temple grounds, are now sprouting exuberantly from our tree for the first time to this extent since we planted it over 6 years ago. We are so happy and blessed.
