Brief Garden Designs, a Landscape and design company that is a subsidiary of Brief Garden (Pvt) Ltd which is the brainchild of Dooland de Silva who worked with Bevis Bawa from 1969 to 1992, until the demise of Late Mr. Bewis Bawa.
Brief Garden Designs is hired by many well recognized Architects from Sri Lanka & other Countries. Many projects were done with late Architect Geoffrey Bawa (Kandalama Hotel), and Architect Milroy Perera. Channa Daswatte, Vinod Jayasinghe, C. Anjalendran, Shyan Kumaradas, Ismath Rahim, Varuna de Silva, Bernard Gomez, and Arosha Perera are notable Architects partnering with Brief Garden Designs.
Current projects include Altair Residencies / Havelock City Roof Gardens / Embassies.
Brief Garden Designs maintains two nurseries that propagate and stock many of the plant, trees & shrub species used in our designs, these nurseries are located at Beruwala and Nawala. All our plants are maintained by qualified personnel. We offer unique landscape designs, taking into account the natural layout and ideas from clients thereby laying out Green spaces with a local and Lankan flavor
