A proud moment for Archiios! 🤩

We extend our heartiest wishes to our batchmate Tharusha Sanjula for gaining recognition as the winning design of the IDR Poster Competition 2025 organized by the Department of Integrated Design, University of Moratuwa.

His work titled "Echoes of Heritage" embodies the Sri Lankan Cultural Tradition in a redefined stance, celebrating the rich past as a guide for a modern expression of the island's future.

Here's to many more wins in the future!

Our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences for the sudden passing away of our beloved Senior Lecturer, Archt. Varuna De Silva, Year Coordinator of Level III, Department of Architecture.

He was not only a dedicated teacher and mentor but also a great inspiration to many generations of students at the Faculty of Architecture. His absence will be profoundly felt within our student community.

May his soul rest in peace.

A heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Suraj Siriwardana from the Level 4 Studio for crafting more than just a bench — for creating a moment of quiet amidst movement.

‘Whispering Stillness’ was awarded Second Runners-up at the ‘Bench It!’ Design Competition 2025 hosted by the Geoffrey Bawa Trust — a thoughtful response to the idea of merging rest with reflection, and movement with pause.

This evocative creation stands as a true ode to the Master of the In-Betweens himself — Architect Geoffrey Bawa, who sculpted gestures from every turn and composed verses from every void.
