Browns Engineering & Construction is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Project Engineer – Civil to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in civil engineering, site ex*****on, project planning, and quality management, with the ability to successfully manage construction activities and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Position:
🏗️ Project Engineer – Civil
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily site construction activities to ensure progress as per approved project schedules.
• Monitor project ex*****on to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams for smooth project delivery.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules, work programs, and resource allocation.
• Review construction drawings and resolve technical issues at site.
• Monitor material requirements, procurement, and efficient resource utilization.
• Supervise subcontractors and site teams to achieve project milestones.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality control procedures.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
• Monitor project costs, variations, and productivity for effective project ex*****on.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.
• Support project planning, risk management, and timely completion of assigned projects.
Qualifications & Experience
• BSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in civil construction project ex*****on.
• Experience in commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or building construction projects.
• Sound knowledge of:
Project planning and scheduling
Construction methodologies
Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC)
Contract administration
Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements
Quantity estimation and progress monitoring
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Ability to prepare project reports, work programs, and technical documentation.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong leadership and site management skills.
• Excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple project activities independently.
• Good communication, negotiation, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD, and other project management tools.
