It has been a true privilege for TEAM WORKS ASSOCIATES to collaborate with KENGO KUMA AND ASSOCIATES as the Local Architects for the WAKANA RESORT HOTEL in Ahungalla, Sri Lanka.
We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to WAKANA JPN (PRIVATE) LIMITED, under BANSEI HOLDINGS, a leading team of professionals from both Sri Lanka and Japan with expertise in hospitality, finance, and other related fields, for selecting and entrusting us to be part of this remarkable landmark hospitality project. We are proud to have contributed our expertise towards the successful delivery of this unique development to Sri Lanka’s hospitality sector.
This exclusive boutique resort hotel comprises 10 meticulously designed luxury guest rooms, where contemporary architecture seamlessly blends with the beauty of the natural surroundings. Every space has been thoughtfully crafted with distinctive architectural features, refined materials, exceptional finishes, and meticulous attention to detail, creating a tranquil sanctuary that offers guests an unforgettable experience of comfort, elegance, and relaxation.
We are delighted to share that this landmark hospitality project is expected to open to the public in the near future, offering guests the opportunity to experience an entirely different atmosphere of luxury, tranquility, and architectural excellence.
We are immensely proud to have contributed to this landmark hospitality project alongside one of the world’s most celebrated architects, PROFESSOR KENGO KUMA. As the Local Architects, TEAM WORKS ASSOCIATES provided comprehensive professional services, including obtaining the relevant local authority approvals, detailed design development, construction supervision, and project management, while also acting as the Engineer to the Contract.
Throughout the project, our team worked closely with the Architect and all project stakeholders to ensure that the design intent, quality, and architectural standards were maintained without compromise, while delivering the project within the allocated budget and agreed timeframe.
This project represents a remarkable collaboration between Japanese and Sri Lankan expertise, bringing together innovative architectural thinking, timeless aesthetics, local knowledge, and meticulous ex*****on to create a distinctive addition to Sri Lanka’s hospitality landscape.
