Our Story
Dblend Coatings (Pvt) Ltd is a manufacturing and wall finishing company specialized in manufacturing skim coats and tile mortars (adhesives) and creating cut-cement, texture and rustic appearance wall finishes. The organization commenced it's operations in 2009 as a partnership of three chemical engineers and has been established as a Private Limited company in 2011.
One of the founders, Eng. Dr. Shantha Amarasinghe has completed his postgraduate studies in the area of particle technology and is keen in contributing his vast research experience to develop products for the construction industry to satisfy local requirements and climatic conditions. Present directors, Mr. Washeera Wijesinghe and Mr. Kasun Udana, who are also founders of the company, two energetic young chemical and process engineers with the wisdom of developing a leading manufacturing company for construction materials and chemicals in Sri Lanka. Further, Mr. Kasun Udana has notable knowledge and experience in different wall finishing techniques. Mr. Chaminda K. Priyadarshana who is one of the present directors, is a Civil Engineer who has worthy experience in the construction industry.
“The company believes in producing Quality rather than inspecting it.” For the achievement of the above, the company has initially limited its product range and capacity with the aim of continuously improving quality through research and development. As a result, the company was able to introduce two high-quality brands of skim coats and tile mortar and low cost but fascinating wall finishing techniques to meet customer requirements and satisfaction.
The main factory is located at Kumbuka, Gonapola around 7 km towards Horana from Kahathuduwa interchange of Southern Expressway, and the marketing office is situated at Kottawa. The production capacity of the factory for skim coats and tile mortar has gradually increased from 5000 packs to 20000 packs per month over the past 10 years.
