Architect: Lanka Rasadi Arkitekter
Area: 250 sqm
Location: Moers, Germany
Year: 2024

This Car Interior Factory is a contemporary industrial structure designed to accommodate multiple production workshops, each incorporating an office, kitchenette, and restroom. The architectural composition integrates functional design with modern aesthetics, utilizing black plastered surfaces and exposed brick elements to create a sleek, professional facade.

The layout is driven by modular efficiency, with each workshop paired with a dedicated office space and communal areas for work and rest. The office wing, strategically placed at the front, features an open-plan design with double height volumes, enhancing spatial dynamics and natural light pe*******on. Regularly spaced glazing introduces daylight while ensuring privacy, while a 5-meter green zone at the building’s perimeter offers a connection to the surrounding landscape.

The executive offices are located on the mezzanine level, enclosed in glass partitions that offer visual transparency without sacrificing acoustical privacy. The main floor is designed for collaborative work, with areas for team interaction, a large conference table, a kitchenette, and a lounge for client meetings. Separate male and female restrooms are provided to ensure functionality.

Key materials, such as, black plaster, facing bricks, timber, and concrete are employed to create a durable, contemporary aesthetic that supports both the industrial nature of the building and its need for an inviting workspace. This cohesive architectural language ensures an efficient, modern, and visually stimulating environment.

This house was designed to combine comfortable living spaces with plenty of greenery.. Inspired by the idea of stacking blocks, the design uses carefully arranged volumes to create bold depth and allow greenery to blend with the living spaces. This design brings nature and living together, making the boundaries between indoors and outdoors feel seamless. The house features double-height spaces and a green courtyard at its side, adding openness and natural light. A floating staircase acts as a centerpiece, combining beauty and practicality. The living area has a mix of wood and concrete finishes, with built-in seating along large windows. This area feels cozy and welcoming, thanks to soft lighting and earthy tones.
The design focuses on natural light and airflow, with big windows and openings that bring the outdoors inside. Materials like wood, concrete, and brick are used throughout, giving the house a simple, modern, and luxurious feel, perfect for its peaceful hillside location. The house uses Six main elements: whitewashed and brick walls, timber, concrete, greenery, and natural light. Project - Salon and Wellness Spa
Architect - Lanka Rasadi Arkitekter
Area- 2500 sqft
Location - Texas, USA

This project involves the architectural design of a two-story wellness spa located in the historic downtown district of New Waverly, Texas. The building spans 100 ft x 25 ft and is designed to blend modern sophistication with the charm of its surrounding urban environment. Careful consideration has been given to the layout and structure to create a functional yet inviting space that caters to the needs of both guests and staff.

The ground floor features a welcoming reception area, treatment rooms, and essential support spaces designed to ensure smooth circulation and accessibility. The second floor offers additional treatment areas and administrative offices, with provisions for flexible reconfigurations, such as incorporating an open floor concept. The interior design emphasizes clean lines and a minimalistic aesthetic, aligning with the upscale identity of the spa while creating a calming and serene atmosphere.

Architect: Lanka Rasadi
Area : 3000 Sqft
Location : Homagama, Sri Lanka

“Sandal Villa” designed to accommodate a single family involves a sophisticated interplay of spatial organization, materiality, and contextual sensitivity. The architectural concept revolves around creating a tropical, contemporary home with a resort like ambiance, achieved through a minimalist and timeless design language. This residence emphasizes openness and fluidity, with a focus on natural light, cross ventilation and seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, all while respecting the unique demands of its tropical elements.
the zoning of the house is defined between the public and private space at both levels. The center of the layout is a spacious, open-plan living area, characterized by a two-story height ceiling that connects both of the zones. This double-height living space serves as the focal point of the residence, emphasizing vertical connectivity between levels and allowing natural light to enter the living area. Expansive glazed openings are used to blend the boundaries between the interior and the exterior, extending the living space onto both of the terraces.
Natural materials such as brick and wood are used for the façade as the main theme for the resort-like ambiance. Louvered screens are also used for the façade as an integral part of the design, giving passive cooling and creating a comfortable indoor temperature. This combination and a restrained color palette create an elegant and timeless design while preserving the tropical ambiance of the overall residence. The outdoor spaces are designed as an extension of the interior, creating a continuous experience of retreat and relaxation.
