Proposed Villa Development at Rathgama

A contemporary Retreat Rooted in Nature
Nestled in the serene landscapes of Rathgama, this proposed villa development envisions a harmonious dialogue between architecture and nature. Overlooking an expansive paddy field, the project draws inspiration from the simplicity and intimacy of traditional tree huts, reinterpreting them through a refined modern architectural language.

Proposed Homestay at Thalpe

The proposed homestay in Thalpe ,is a refined fusion of Tropical, Mediterranean, and Balinese architecture each carrying its own identity, climate response, and spatial emotion.

The intention is not to layer styles, but to integrate them with clarity and purpose. The Tropical approach defines the foundation prioritizing openness, cross-ventilation, and a seamless relationship with landscape. Framed views, shaded thresholds, and deep openings allow the architecture to respond naturally to the coastal climate.

Mediterranean influences introduce softness and timelessness textured walls, arched elements, warm earthy tones, and controlled natural light that creates a calm and grounded atmosphere.

Balinese principles bring depth and experience into the design fluid indoor-outdoor connections, layered spatial transitions, and a sense of retreat that enhances intimacy and tranquility specially material as wood.

Blending these three distinct languages demands discipline. Without restraint, the architecture risks losing clarity. A minimalistic approach becomes essential carefully limiting materials, simplifying forms, and maintaining strong geometrical order. This allows each influence to exist in harmony rather than conflict. Every line, proportion, and material is intentionally considered.

Site investigation for a Proposed Eco lodge @ Sigiriya

Historically, archaeologically, architecturally, and urban-planning wise rich sites like Sigiriya demand sensitive and careful investigation.

Such places reveal multiple layers, layers of history, layers of view points, layers of topography, and layers of planning constraints shaped by history and nature over centuries.

Understanding these layers is essential before any intervention takes place.
